Have these two panels that I cannot find in manual. What are they for?

Hey Senior,

Those panels are for the exhaust exit in front of the rear tires. You put them over the body to help protect from the heat.

Henry,

Thank you, I have been through the Gen1 and Gen2 and exhaust manuals and no mention of them that I could find. Should have asked a long time ago or asked when I was down to see your last 33 build. Guess that will be on the agenda tomorrow to disconnect the exhaust and install at the body shop, great that he lets me use his shop while we are waiting on items. Took parts to be chromed to the east coast two weeks ago and they said 4-5 months to complete. Planned to have it painted and home by October, blew that out of the water! Picking up powered C6 seats today from Orlando, hope we can get them to fit.

Thanks again,
Stay Safe

Neil,

I’ve used them on the outside of the body. I cut the holes coming through the fiberglass bigger than the exhaust and used these panels, body colored, to surround the exhaust. This kept the fiberglass far enough away from the pipe.

Hope this helps,

Henry

That's a nice idea, I hadn't thought of it that way.
