Using t bird rear calipers cannot get them to work, brake lines are tight, but keep getting air bubbles from caliper, they hold vacuum when I put gauge on the system. Now if I put air to the caliper the piston does move. Thoughts please

can you post a pic? Maybe they are on the wrong side causing the bleeder to be in the wrong position?

Mike never thought of that, they are on towards the front, bleeder pointing slightly up, bracket did not fit to well towards rear, so I mounted it on the front

Are you noticing bubbles coming through when you try to bleed them with a a vacuum pump? I had a similar problem and it was because the bleeder screw allowed air to get sucked in around the threading when it's loose. The way I fixed it was to add some teflon tape around the threads to seal it up better when the bleeder screw is loose (it needed quite a bit). The seal seems to be fine (without tape) when it's tightened, but as soon as you open it up enough to allow fluid to bleed out it seems to suck air in around the sides which shows up as bubbles in the vacuum line. My guess as to the reason why is that those t-bird rear brakes just don't have very tight tolerance thread taps like some higher-end brakes.

Mike was right I switch sides on calipers and it worked, bleeder is on top now
