Does anybody know the lateral calliper interference on the new FFR Wilwood package?

Trying to figure out if they fit with my wheel set up.

FFR didn't know but they did tell me the Wilwood part numbers which don't come up with anything on the Wilwood site - part not found.

Any ideas?

I have the kit sitting on my bench but I wouldn't know how to measure while disassembled. If you wait a week or so I'll probably have em mounted and can measure whatever you like.

Got an answer from Rick Masters (FFR Sales & Tech support)

Front is 0.72 and the rear is 0.43.

Front details are the last picture on this page:

Rear part has no picture, but it's the number Rick gave me.

It depends on what wheels you plan on using. My high clearance package which is about 40% larger will clear most of the Halibrand replica wheels out there. The .72" is going to be really tight on any of the Halibrand replica style wheel. If you are using aftermarket such as the Fr500 you will have no issues.

Ok, I see the post was edited, which is good, it gives everyone a chance to get the right info out. When we talked, I said was I had to check on the rear clearance.

If the clearance for the front is .72 that is no problem. We clear the cobra brakes all the time and they have more interference.

On the rear we will have to machine the wheel to get to .4375 and that will be a MAX, if the caliper is any thicker a small spacer will be needed. To machine the wheel will cost more to clear the rears. Current clearance is set up for the T bird rotor max of about 0.25.

No harm no foul and now we all know the answer. Cheers Richard.

Gordon - what's the lateral interference with your high clearance package? Are spare parts readily available?

Richard - does using a spacer wear the bearings out any faster?

9/16" is the interference. 1 out of 10 need to use a 3mm spacer to clear the halibrand style wheels. This is due to the production varience in the castings. Yes, parts are readily available.

We have used spacers in the past without issue except you need longer studs. HTH, Richard.
