Hi Everyone,

I just finished building my Mk4 and got the license plates today. The entire project took about 10 months including DMV.

I'm about 30 miles from San Francisco and got my registration done at Walnut Creek.

I plan on running car unpainted for some time to shake things up at local autoxes and tracks. But if you can refer to a good and inexpensive bodyshop in the area it would be great.

On technical side: Hot-rodded BPE 306 (396 hp) + Edelbrock ProFlow EFI, rebuilt and strengthened T5, IRS with 3.15 diff, cutom Willwoods upfront w/ 13 inch GT brakes in the back.

Congratulations!
Ken Pike up in Yuba City is the guy most people in this region go to for body and paint. He is not cheap but does excellent work.
I’m up in the Sacramento area as well as a few other guys. if you ever want to get together give us shout on the NorCal sub group.

Congratulations! I'm just over in Livermore and hoping to complete my registration of a Gen 3 Type 65 in the next month or so. Where did you do your CHP and BAR inspections and how did that go?

Thanks for the suggestion! I'm going to spend some time on alignment and probably redo the exhaust (my ears were ringing after 15 min drive today even with protective headphones for shooting), after that would be great to meet some FFR folks around. Btw, I really like your exhaust design, do you have any measurements of the noise level?
