My wife and I are considering moving back to New York City in the next couple of years and that decision has led me to a point of whether or not I should paint my Roadster and then sell it before we move or if I should sell it now before it is painted and let the buyer have the choice of their desired color. I have been driving the car around and it is very enjoyable to drive so I could definitely enjoy it for a couple more years, but thought I would post it and maybe someone would give it a good home.
This is a complete Factory Five kit with all new parts with the exception of a fully rebuilt Ford 429 engine and 8.8 rear end. It has been fully inspected and licensed here in Nebraska and I drive it often. Here are the many details.

Nice roadster. Someone is going to have fun finishing this big block toy. GLWS. We left NYC last year and don't regret it. Don't miss the abusive road surfaces or the management. Good luck with your return. Stay safe, Anthony

Thanks Serpant. It is a lot of fun. It would look amazing painted for sure. We left NYC back in 2006 so it has been a while. We'll see how things pan out in a couple of years!

Thanks GoDadGo, I have read your threads over the course of time and really appreciate you weighing in. There is still definitely a lot that could be played with on the car. The big block even as it sits with all that torque is borderline scary. I still don't jump on it in first gear and am very careful even as I shift to second. Hopefully someone who is looking to wrap up a project is out there. As you know the costs add up when building these things with the kit, engine, transmission, EFI, all the engine accessories, rear end, tires and other fun stuff you add to the build. But they are such beautiful and fun to drive cars it makes them all worthwhile.

Mark was kind enough to give me a ride in his Cobra today. Well sorted out mechanically, just add your own paint in the colors you want and have an amazing car!

Thanks Busker it was a pleasure meeting you and your wife. The offer is always open if you want to take a look at it again or if you have any questions in the future when you start your build!

Ronin, if it helps any, I am 6 feet 4 inches tall and fit ok. I don't think it is much worse length wise than my first car, a 1979 Mustang. It is nice to be able to find one to sit in and get the feel for though.

Had a request for a few additional pictures so here are a few more. If anyone wants additional ones let me know what you are interested in seeing. Thanks!
Pictures of the trunk. You can see the access cover for the hidden battery. Also the carpet on the lower side is attached with heavy duty velcro along the top and sides so it can easily be peeled back to access the fuel pump etc.
For the other pictures I was trying to show how clean the underside is with the powder coating and undercoating although I am not sure how successful that is.

Great pics, looks amazing! Planning to sit in a couple diff makers this week.
So far, reccos have said FF generally a good fit. I need to find one same model as yours though.

Greetings! Quick check - do all the mk ivs have the drop area in the footwell? Got to sit in one today, and that extra foot room made all the difference!

Not sure how to close a thread down but the car was sold yesterday. I have mixed emotions on selling the Roadster as there is truly nothing else out there like these cars. The joy to drive, the attention and passion they invoke in people is unlike any other car out there. They have historical significance and cache. They represent American muscle. They are just freaking cool. In addition to all of that what makes owning one of these special is the people on this forum. I have read hundreds of posts and even posted a few times myself. It is amazing to me how quickly you all responded and how much so many people on this forum know and are willing to help. It is the FFR Forum community that makes building, owning, and loving these cars so much easier and more enjoyable. Thank you to everyone for your support and knowledge. I am thrilled my Roadster went to someone close by who has always had the dream of owning one of these just as I did. I look forward to seeing it painted and out on the street or at a local car show. It has been a great ride. Thank you to everyone out there and maybe life again will bring me back to another one in the future.
Thanks
Mark
