Anybody have any input on clutch pedal room? I spent about 8hrs cruising the piney woods in East Texas today and had a blast. But I really miss a manual trans. Thinking about making a swap but was looking at foot box and how tight it is. I'm already hitting the gas sometimes when trying to brake due to how close the pedals are. Anyone with a standard have some input? suggestions to space them out?

Also. Can I narrow the trans tunnel with a TKO 600? This 4L60 is massive so thinking I could narrow the tunnel a bit for more room?
I've not yet seen the truck up close but from what I've read it appears to be very close to the hot rod. If so, then yes there is a lot you can do to increase the size of the foot box but how far you want to go with this will depend on your fabrication skill. I discarded the FFR doghouse and built my own to increase the width of the foot box. I also moved my pedals forward and down by pushing out the foot box into the engine compartment. You can find photos and description of this if you click the link below and search through my build photos.

It’s going to depend on how far forward your engine is. The size of the bellhousing for an automatic and a standard are roughly the same immediately aft of the engine. And that’s right at the front of the cab where you need the additional space for the pedals and your feet.
So if your engine is quite a bit forward, then it’s likely you can narrow the trans tunnel as once you’re aft if the bellhousing, a manual transmission is quite a bit narrower.
I had the same difficulty with my Powerglide installation, the trans is large just aft of the engine. My solution was to S bend the gas pedal arm and slice off the inside portion if the pedal with my sawzall. It’s given me enough room for my size 13 runners. I also attached the brake pedal to the pedal arm offset to the drivers side.

I have a T600 (with a 347 Blueprint engine). Foot box is somewhat snug but not uncomfortable - I find flip flops are definitely too loose to avoid hitting two pedals at once - good excuse for buying driving shoes
