Had first start today but compressor seems to be siezed ? Will not turn, and very hard to spin by hand. Does the electric need to be hooked up ?

The AC compressor should spin without any power.
When you give it power, it engages the compressor to pump freon.
Look and make sure there is nothing rubbing the pulley or stuck in the clutch.

To be exact, it's the clutch on the front of the compressor that's powered. Without power, the clutch is released and the pulley should rotate freely. The A/C system puts +12V on the clutch to engage it and spin the compressor. If it's not spinning freely without power, first suspect is the clutch itself.

Bummer, did it seize right away or did it run for a while and then seize?
Was the clutch powered?
Was the system charged?

Nope not hooked up and never charged, just started m=engine for first time to get it dialed in. I can not turn it by hand, DAn from FFR suggested putting 12 v to it and then see if it releases after I remove the 12v, Just dame out of box and installed, will update tonight, thanks all
