Al,
I doubt if it will be any time soon, but you never know.
We are hoping to purchase a Serpent Express (Hard Top Style) so we can drag Redbone around when start to travel.
Until then we are planning our youngest daughter's wedding and sell my Mom's place.
Heck, maybe you want to move to the Dell, Slidell that is.

I just finished settling my Mom's estate and the home is the last thing to go.

Thanks Gentlemen,
The support of guys like you and the rest of the Factory Five Family has kept me moving forward.
Megan & Nic moved to Salem NC where she will be attending Wake Forest to study law.
They are in a good place since the passing of Agatha and Nic's company is letting him work remotely.
Our youngest daughter Emma and her fiance' Jarret will be getting married in March of 2021.
They are just getting over COVID-19 so we hope to see them in a few weeks.
Baby Go-Dad, Brenton, is starting his 4th year at U.L.L. in Lafayette and is studying Architecture.
It has truly been a journey, but it is truly time to turn the page and enjoy driving our dream.

Though not an exact copy, this was the look/flavor that I was trying to capture, except for the roll bar.

Couple of questions:
1. Why not AFR 220 Renagrade heads as they flow better?
2. No Rocker arm stud girdle ?
3. I assume a Dart SHP block ?
4. Did you look at Callies rotating assembly?

Couple of questions:
1. Why not AFR 220 Renagrade heads as they flow better?
....I'm a huge fan of Iron Eagle Heads and the 215 intake runners are plenty big.
....A stock SBC manifold will not cover the tops of the ports so my manifold choices were very limited to only single-plane race-type bits.
2. No Rocker arm stud girdle ?
....I don't plan to spin it up much past 6,250 so the screw-in rocker arm studs should be okay.
....The goal was to make one between 383-400 HP, but we made well over 450 at 10-11 degrees initial timing and right at 500 at 14.
3. I assume a Dart SHP block ?
....Yes, it's the Dart SHP that can be bored up to 4.165 even though I'm only at 4.030".
....The engine runs quite cold since the cylinder walls are pretty thick.
4. Did you look at Callies rotating assembly?
....The Eagle assembly was rated far higher than the horsepower that I planned to make.
....Originally I had an old Speed-O-Motive externally balanced 400 cast crank with the stupid short 5.565" 400 rods.
....It was a nice upgrade from the stock I-Beam assembly plus the Eagle kit is 100% neutrally balanced, unlike my old set up.
My goal was to create a nice peppy street motor that may make a pass or two from time to time at Gulfport Dragway.
They'll likely send me home as soon as I make one pass anyway since I'm sure it will be pretty quick.
Originally the engine was intended for my 1980 Z/28 that went swimming in Katrina.
The ZF gearbox was a spare that I picked up for my 1995 C-4 Corvette.
Hope This Makes Sense Regarding Your Questions!

Well, my friend, you've done it...... the fraternity of people who've built their own cars is very small and you're now a full-fledged member. You'll never cease to be amazed at the attention you will garner and the people (especially kids) you'll inspire when you drive that beautiful car.
Love the details and enjoyed following your build - challenges and all.
Please don't forget about the forum - you'll have much to share as you hit the road.
Safe travels!!!!

Car looks great, love the no stripe, street hood, look.
I can't believe you can buy a nice large house like that, for that low a price. I couldn't find anywhere on the listing, how large the property is, but that sure seems a bargain.
Where I live, you can't buy a mobile home in a trailer park for that price..

Glad You Like The Street Look!
I hoped I could pull off an elegant roadster, but you never really know what these cars will look like until you finish them.
The color choice was always going to be RED even though I would have loved to paint it the same color GREEN as Gumball's car.
Going off the grid on the driveline didn't phase me, but finding a wheel that wasn't a Halibrand, which looked period-correct, wasn't easy.
Tires are 245/45-17 and 285/40-17 which gives me a little bit of rake from front to rear.
Camp Granny's House / 817 Hailey Avenue Property:
The property actually sits on two lots which have been combined so it's 100'0" X 200'0" or just under 1/2 acre.
We have it listed at Tax Value in an attempt to move it quickly which is also the same as the flood insurance coverage.
Since flood insurance is assumable, the coverage can be Grand-Fathered to save the new owner some money.
The den is 28 X 28 and the 16 arches in that room are either a love it or hate it proposition.
If you want to move South, the cost of living in Louisiana is low, but undestand that the summers are hot and sticky.

Hope to see you soon so you can inspect it.
With some luck, Redbone will be at Road Atlanta for next year's Walter Mitty HSR Race.
The Parade of Speed was a sight to be seen, especially from your vantage point which was the driver's seat of your Challenge Car.

Steve, I had committed to attend the Huntington Beach Factory Five get-together this year, which was first postponed, then later cancelled outright, so I am tentatively planning on attending the 2021 version. Unfortunately, it is usually the same weekend as the Walter Mitty race weekend at Road Atlanta. Long story to let you know I may not be at the Mitty next year ...
