Speedhut gauge cluster question

Wiring is next up on my build and I have a question about the Speedhut cluster and it's interface with the OBD11 CAN-BUS on an LS3 crate motor.There are several individual sections in their instructions for each part of the cluster, on only one, the tachometer, do they state that if you are using the CAN-BUS hook up you do not need to follow their tach install instructions.

It does appear that there is only one pair of wires for the CAN-BUS interface, one is marked CAN low and the other CAN high.

Does this mean that the only data the ECM passes to the cluster is RPM's?

I contacted Speedhut and learned that using the CAN-BUS hook-up will provide data for all the gauges except the speedometer and the fuel gauge.
