Update here: https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?36842-For-Sale-EdwardB%92s-20th-Anniversary-Mk4-Roadster-lt-lt-Re-Listed-gt-gt&p=423335&viewfull=1#post423335

Well, it’s come to this. Want to do another build. Don’t have room and doesn't make sense for more than two and the recently finished Gen 3 Coupe is going to be the keeper. They’re both awesome cars and a hard decision. But now offering the Roadster for sale. Hopefully to a new owner who appreciates and enjoys it as much as we have.

Summary: 20th Anniversary (03 of 20) Mk4 Roadster #8674. Picked up in Wareham 08/05/2015. Legal 04/18/2017. Clear Michigan title as 2017 Assembled Vehicle (only option). 6,518 miles. 100% street driven. No track or autocross. No accidents or damage. Fully sorted with zero issues. Everything works. Non-donor complete kit build with all new parts including Gen 2 Coyote crate motor, TKO600 transmission, and significant customization. Candy red and white. Full array of 20th Anniversary upgrades: 2015+ Mustang based IRS, 18-inch wheels, leather seats, chrome roll bar, special powder coat, custom color Wilwood brakes, Koni double adjustable shocks, front and rear sway bars, Speedhut GPS serial numbered gauges, anniversary badges and floor mats.

This was my third Roadster build. Numerous options and custom features. Runs and drives perfectly. Has won multiple major awards, including Best Roadster and Best in Show at the 2017 Factory Five Open House and 1st place in Handbuilt Sports at the 2017 Detroit Autorama. Was also featured in the Ford Performance display at the 2019 Detroit Autorama. Draws major attention everywhere it goes. There are a lot of beautiful builds out there, so not going to get carried away. But many have said this is the best build of this type they’ve seen based on content, workmanship, and attention to detail. I have full build and maintenance records. The complete build was documented here https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?18591-EdwardB%92s-Mk4-8674-20th-Anniversary-Build. And video featuring it here https://youtu.be/gCBLH-mr7ME.

Asking $70,000. Not going to apologize for this price and please no editorial posts about it. This limited edition Roadster could not be duplicated for this price given the content and build quality. If you’re thinking about a high-end build or having a pro do one, this is a good alternative for the same or less money. You’ll have a hard time finding a nicer one. Willing to deliver within a reasonable distance. I have a covered trailer. We can talk. I can be reached via PM. Pictures in second post. Just as clean and finished on the bottom as the top. Thanks for looking.

Haven't decided yet. 99.9% something Factory Five. Really missing not having the Open House because we were going to use that narrow down the choice. We'll see.

I bet it's hard to part with such beautiful builds!

I have been curious to see the premium on the Anniversary cars. I have not seen any completed ones pass hands yet.
I did see a MK3 with a supercharged doner engine go for $56k on BAT a couple of weeks ago. I think your price is a bargain given the quality of the build alone!

Good luck and thanks for the great quality and documentation you provide the community.

Yea, definitely no need to apologize for the price, premium builds get premium dollars. Good luck with the sale.

I vote you build the FFR 35 Truck...;)
Just because I thought about selling mine after a year or two and building the coupe or truck.... I'd have a premo guide to both then.

Paul,

Outstanding build. You deserve every penny. STILL less than a standard Backdraft!

My vote for your next ride is the F9.

Thanks for the encouraging comments guys. Maybe I'm not asking enough. But you know what I was talking about with the "no editorials" request. Sometimes these for sale threads fall into a black hole of debating what the price "should be." Which I don't appreciate even when it's not my thread. So just didn't want this to go there.

Now back on topic. We'll see what happens with the sale!

Good morning Paul

Would you have any interest in trading for the 25th Anniversary Edition sirial number of 002 with a Forte gen 3 Coyote still on a pallet. Besides inventory it looks like the day it came off the steward truck.

I appreciate seeing premium examples of FFR Roadsters being offered for sale. We need more examples like this to help boost the values of our cars and to shed some of the negative perceptions of FFR kits in the broader automotive community.

Good luck, Paul. I can't wait to see what your next project will be. Have you considered a GT40 kit? Sure would look nice sitting next to that gorgeous Daytona.

Do you feel like helping sell a house?
I just listed my Mom's place so maybe you can work your magic.
Just kidding unless you want to move to the Dell, Slidell, Louisiana that is.
Any idea which car you plan to do next or are you still in the contemplation mode?

No, we're not moving. Sorry. It's been three solid years of work getting our current house projects completed. Making good progress. But not leaving that behind for now.

Sometimes sales happen by just being in the right place at the right time. Kind of the case this time. I don't have any kind of magic touch, trust me. Looking at several possibilities for the next build. No decision yet.

I only had it listed on here and FFCars. Was going to wait a few weeks before expanding to other channels. Obviously didn't have to. The buyer isn't a forum member but knew about it from here.

Congrats Paul! Yeah I figure, if you're happy, well, the someone who got your beautiful build is ecstatic! So, that makes us all :)

I do want to thank you for thorough documenting of this very build. I, like so many others too, have read through your notes and are using them as a guide to follow, as we try and replicate the level to which you set. Excellent job! Again, thanks for always being so helpful too!

And now we all wait with anticipation. What will it be? The; Seedstar or F9 or possibly another Roadster, hmmmm.... Maybe it's a land speeder, for which you surely could build!

Anyway, I hope you find more happiness and bring us all along on your next adventure...

Thanks for all the supportive comments guys. Unfortunately, the deal for the Roadster has been called off by the buyer. Disappointing on several fronts. So, it’s back on the market.

Since my original post, I’ve spent quite a bit of time detailing to get it as perfect as possible and like new everywhere. There were 10-15 rock chips in the nose and one pretty large dent courtesy of a cruise during the London show last year. Now all fixed. The tri-coat paint isn’t easy to touch up, but you’ll have a very hard time finding them. Done the right way with spot filler in the mentioned dent, color brushed into each chip location, filled with 2-part automotive clear, wet sanded to 2000 grit, and polished with the Norton Liquid Ice system. There were also some chips along the bottom inside corner of all four wheel lips. Put color and clear on those too. So now I’m giving the paint a 9.9 / 10 rating. Looks like it did the day it came home from the painter. Only thing left is a very small parking lot bumper rub on the underside of the nose that I only wet sanded and polished. Still visible but it’s in the white and can’t be seen unless on your hands and knees looking under there or on a lift.

The pictures I initially posted were right after it was completed and graduated. Here are three new ones to confirm its current condition. First as it sat about a week ago. Second on the lift while doing the touch-up. You can just see some blue tape marking spots I was fixing. And finally, the last one taken today <yesterday> August 10, 2020. Completely done and ready to be in your garage.
