I have the original straight FFR shifterbfor my MK4 roadster. I put the Gen2 Coyote and TKO600 in the car. I would like to replace the shifter with a forward leaning shifter. Any recommendations on best supplier.

I thought the MK4 shifter was forward leaning? Might you post a photo?

See if turning the shaft 180* will give you the tilt you want. I drilled and bent my shaft to get the ideal for me location.

Most popular aftermarket shifter is from **********. It’s a nice piece, you just have to deal with the adventure that is **********.

I use the Steeda Tri-Ax shifter handle turned forward instead of back. You can buy the handle separately and then and bolt it to the shifter mechanism that cam with the TKO.

I used **********’s but got it before service went down it seems.

********** shifter. Remember that you have some adjustments on the TKO600. My shifter was too far back in the stock location. If you remove the six mounting bolts you can rotate your TKO shift plate 180 degrees which moves it forward a couple inches. Perfect for me now.
I did not like the FFR shifter. Yes, it is forward leaning but I do not get why FFR made it so "flat". It does not feel or look natural to me.
I would not give up on ********** yet. Seems like every year they go through a spell where guys are pissed that things are taking too long. Everything seems to get sorted out eventually.

The supplied shifter has three holes in it. You can use it as vertical or forward leaning by choosing which holes you use. The holes do need to be drilled out to fit the bolts and it needs to go on one side of the the shaft on the transmission to help center it in the opening. The Tremec also has the added option of moving the shifter to one of three locations, though the rear and mid shift are the only ones that work for the roadster.

Bought the ********** part before the change in ownership so it was a quick delivery. Finished it with a custom knob by EPCO. Unit clears the dash & console with good space around it.

If that is mounted to the TKO 600 it looks like it’s in the forward or middle mount location. From that picture it looks like you are too close to the dash to do a forward shifter. You would likely need to change the mount location.
132477 I would suggest talking with Mike Forte.
