Crazy request I know - CT DMV and IRS ID tag

So getting ready to try and get inspected once CT DMV inspection lane reopens.

My 1990 T-bird IRS that I bought from forum does not have the metal stamped ID tag.

So 2 requests:
1.) anyone in CT or other state where the guidelines say you need ID/VIN for major components (rear-end) didn't have it and it wasn't an issue
2.) may have done the old IRS configuration with this rear diff and happne to have the tag - I know a lot of you are pack rats :)

I went through with a 97 Lincoln IRS I bought from a junk yard. It did not have a ID tag and no marking or vin numbers stamped on the pumpkin, but I had the sales receipt with the VIN number it came from. CT is more worried about stolen parts.

You need to have the paper work. sales receipt.

BTW call the inspection lane. another forum member just went for an inspection last week and passed.

I think so, last year when I went through, The inspector told me its a 1965 for year
