Hi, wondering if I should paint my engine covers the same color as the car body. Would those of you who have painter theirs please share photos? I have a Gen 2 Coyote so those are of particular interest but I's like to see any examples.

Thank you,
Tim

Gen 2 Coyote in my 20th Anniversary Roadster. Painted some of the cover the body color. Black stripe is vinyl I added later. Coil covers are "Ford Racing" chrome that are really nice. But not sure they're available any more. There are a bunch of other really nice coil cover options out there for the Gen 2 though. I painted the cover on the Gen 3 cover in my Coupe is well. But it's also highly modified. So not sure it really belongs here. Maybe you've seen it already anyway.

Very nice, thank you. I just went to look at your coupe. Very nice as well. I must say, your build quality is amazing. Kudos.

One question: On the Gen 2 How do you separate the center section for the section you painted? The plastic fasteners look like they are welded together.

Thanks. I'm happy with how the Coupe cover turned out. It was quite a bit of work to get the Gen 3 cover somewhat presentable. For your question, didn't take the Gen 2 cover apart. Just masked off the unpainted center section. Decided that was less work than taking the pieces apart. I believe the fasteners are sonic welded. Common process for that kind of part. Regardless, would be destroyed if taken apart. Could be put back together with regular hardware. But didn't go there.

Ok, good to know. Thank you. I'm not doing the painting so will let the painter know.
