I have the FFR GPS gauges. How do you set the clock? Lost the directions. I think I need to get a toggle button similar to the one for the speedo gauge? Thanks

You plug the same cable into the clock that you use for the speedo and fuel gauge. Instructions for setting are on Speedhut’s site. Get familiar with them; my experience with Speedhut clocks is that you’ll be resetting it frequently. Just saying...

Best IMO is to permanently mount a cable/pushbutton for the speedo. Necessary to reset the trip odometer and cycle through the various functions and information in the display. I put it along the bottom edge of the dash, pointing down, right under the speedo. For the clock, as Jeff said, you'll need a cable/pushbutton to set it. Also permanently mounted. I put the button in the glove box. You can order another cable from Speedhut. Or make one. Simple 1/8-inch stereo mini plug at one end and momentary pushbutton on the other. I wouldn't call them atomic clock precise. But unlike Jeff, I've had decent luck with them. Smaller sample size I guess. I wire them to an always on battery circuit. Including when the master disconnect is off if you're using one. Same as the GPS memory wire. For the other gauges where the cable/pushbutton is required (tach, gas gauge) it's a one-time calibration. Some also make a permanent connection to those with additional cables. But I haven't found that necessary.

Thanks for the reply. I already mounted the cable for the speedo and will get another of the clock. At least It is right twice a day!

I am having a hard time finding 1/8 inch stereo plug - all I see is the newer 3.5mm. Any ideas?

That was my post from 5 years ago that said 1/8" plug. While not exactly the same 3.5mm (0.137795") is somewhat interchangeable. I did make some of those cables myself and don't remember whether I purchased actual 3.5mm or 1/8". But based on this description from Speedhut, looks like 3.5mm is the more technical description. Either size is showing available on Amazon. Or just buy one already made up: https://speedhut.com/gauge-accessories/accessories-for-original-el-lighting/gauge-programming-button-el-lit-gauges-only/

On a side note, I assume you have the older style EL backlight gauges. That's all I have experience with to date. They've been switching over to LED backlighting, and more recent gauges supplied by Factory Five are the LED versions. Interestingly, they use a difference programming cable. No longer have the mini-plug.

I Permanently mounted all 5 gauge buttons under the dash. I did order extra from speed hut. I added the light control, which is button as well.
