Anyone know the status of Finish Line Accessories? I placed an order and have heard nothing from them. email and phone messages with no replays. Not trying to rush them just simple inquires on when I might receive my order. I'm patient. Been waiting for a part from FF for over a year. They have my money. Just saying. Thanks.

My experience (and I'm not alone based on previous discussions about them) is that their communication is terrible, but the parts always show up in a reasonable amount of time. I've ordered from them 2-3 times, and each time there's no confirmation e-mail or shipping notification, but parts show up a few weeks later. Of course, the whole Covid situation may introduce additional delays. I have idea what their current situation is.

I have generally posted the same reply when the subject of ********** comes up. They don’t communicate at all but you will get your stuff and your stuff will be quality. My last order included a Lucas toggle switch. It arrived Broken. You can hear and feel the broken parts inside the switch housing. I sent ********** an email requesting a replacement. I figure maybe I would hear something back as I am usually one of the few voices that isn’t beating them over the head for their poor communication and business skills. It’s been many weeks and I’ve heard nothing. So now my standard reply will be, if you order from them you are simply playing Russian roulette. There is zero customer support. They ship when they want to whatever they want to if they want to.

I tried calling the number and it was a voicemail with a message that the owner is “moving, so expect delays”. I can understand it, but it’s being almost two weeks now since my order and no communication whatsoever. I’m considering reporting the transactions to bank as fraudulent since at this point I do not expect to receive my order.

I ordered parts three weeks ago, I called after two weeks and was told by Taylor? that he was moving everything into a new warehouse of his own. He is a one-man operation and he said he would get orders out as soon as he could. I understand his difficulties and I have always gotten what I've ordered from **********, but it still bugs me that you have to pay for the part up front and then wait an undetermined about of time for it to show up. Call him to see where he is on the shipping process. 925-849-6331
Edit: Parts showed up - four weeks.

Ok, thanks for the feedback. Looks like I'll just have to wait. Well I'll wait as long as I can then cancel the order and arbitrate through PayPal is guess. Hopefully it won't come to that. I really believe in supporting the small business. Examples are Russ Thompson, Mike Everson, Breeze, etc. I've purchased from all these guys and have had excellent service. Hopefully Taylor will come through. Would love to see him stay in business but as they say business is business and the customer has to be taken care of. Thanks again for all the input. -Tim
p.s. - It's bad he leave you hanging.

I heard a few weeks ago someone else is looking at buying the business. Have no idea if thats really the case, or wishful thinking.

“Thank you for emailing me. I am working very hard to catch up on orders after moving to a new location. I am currently a few weeks behind but I am finally shipping orders out and hope to catch up quickly. If you are waiting on your order I will get you a status update as soon as possible. I think back in 2016 it had different owners. The original fellow who started it, died, and his family, mainly his daughter, kept the place going pretty good, before she opted to sell. Not sure exactly what year that took place?
They do have a good selection, and quality parts, such a shame the customer service has been so bad the last several years.
Other choices to look at.
Besides Acton (link shown abover), Breeze was always good source for parts. https://www.breezeautomotive.com/
Cobra Restorer's, https://www.parts123.com/parts123/yb.dll?parta~partsort~1~cadeffib~~20

Hey guys, just some positive praise for Taylor and **********. I recently placed an order for his side mirror brackets. Taylor had them ready for shipment quickly, then I called to add the thumb knobs to my order. He held the shipment and updated my order so that everything would ship together. Everything arrived today! He did comment on the move and backorders, and seemed genuinely committed, so hopefully you guys get your orders fulfilled quickly.

He should be filling our orders from many weeks ago first but glad you got your stuff.
EDIT:
I just received my order from several weeks ago. Also, a nice surprise in the box was a replacement switch from a previous order that was shipped DOA.
I sent Taylor a note of appreciation. Hopefully this continues!
Just spoke with Taylor this afternoon. It sounds like he is finally settled into his new location, and is trying to get everyone's orders out ASAP. I told him he may want to check in and let everyone know all the things that have been happening. He said once he catches back up he will.

I recently posted that I was looking for windshield wiper parts to purchase. A couple of forum members recommended ********** as did FFR. I was concerned to use ********** because of the responses to this thread (those prior to the recent post where the are becoming more responsive). I received a PM from a person at a company named Period Correct, LLC who was following my thread. They are in the process of setting up a company offering many of the products offered by **********. They had the wiper parts I was looking for so I gave them a try. I ordered my parts on Friday and received them Monday. There is something to be said for that kind of speedy service. I believe they are still constructing their web site but I suggest taking a look and check them out sometimes to see if they have expanded their line of Cobra parts. Here is their link.

x2 on PERIOD CORRECT!! I've talked with Paul Proefrock in the past to purchase his vent kit. He started his own site and carries many (as the name suggests) period correct replica parts. My inspection is coming up with Illinois and had FFR supplied wiper wheel boxes were not working out (have the old ones). Ordered them from him yesterday and THEY JUST ARRIVED!!! Really great communication, tracking number provided etc. Maybe he can source the parts your looking for if you can't get thru to **********.

I got lucky... A few days after placing an order online, I called them and the owner actually picked up the phone. He said he just moved his shop/warehouse, and he is quite backed up currently working on the July orders. I pleaded with him that my shop is standing still waiting for the parts from him. He was nice enough to ship mine out a few days later.

I like having a vendor that specializes in Cobra parts, but be careful with Period Correct Parts (https://prdcrrct.com/product/lucas-push-button/) - I was going to order their push button switch, but with shipping it would be $40 versus $21.74 through British Parts NW. Not looking to open this back up to a long debate if ********** is good source etc. Simply posting my experience for others to set expectations.
First, I've ordered a good amount of stuff from ********** over the past 2 years (switches, emblems etc). I decided I wanted the floor mats as they have them perfect sized for FFR MKIV. Mostly I was curious how long this would take to receive the mats based on feedback from other builders.
Ordered: Jan 21, 2021
First WTF Email: Mar 2, 2021 (NO RESPONSE)
Second WTF Email: Mar 31, 2021 (NO RESPONSE)
Product Has been Shipped Email: April 1, 2021 (Maybe because of WTF Email day prior?)
Received: April 6, 2021
I'm not defending ********** by any stretch as I believe Trevor over there could do a little better at communicating with his customers but in my experience the products always come... just not very timely.

Took 4+ months for me to receive 2 switches I ordered in October 2020. I got them in March 2021 only because I had to call weekly until he finally picked up. When he did pick up he was nice enough but not remotely apologetic and made some excuse about missing the order in his system. If I hadn't called and emailed weekly I never would have received the parts. I would recommend finding the part elsewhere, if it's not sold elsewhere look for an alternate part or consider starting a company yourself that manufactures that part. It will be quicker and more reputable. I personally am done with them.

I know the guy from Finish Line gets a bad rap and maybe rightfully so. After my first order which took six weeks I said I'll probably never buy again, but he had some items that I needed that I couldn't find anywhere else so I placed an order three weeks ago and figured I'll get them when I see them. So I got a tracking number three day ago and they are shipped, so hopefully things are turning around for him.

Ggunter, I wouldn’t get my hopes up on that. We’ve all been down this road too many times. Sure, this one order of yours seems to be going well, but just remember, there are months worth of orders that other folks are waiting for, and they haven’t heard a word on their orders. If I were a competitor, I would determine what these items are that no one else seems to have, and then sell them.

Several knick-knack items ordered on April 5th, emblems/grommets/shift lever/knob....stuff like that. Several emails and calls. Finally caught him on the phone on 4/28 and was told the order was in-stock save for the shift knob due to a parts shortage. I imagine like everywhere else, he is attempting to balance orders with parts shortages while trying to reduce his shipping expense with partial order shipments. Still waiting for my order to date after several more calls and emails. My latest email stated that I was going to pull the plug the end of this week, 5/28, with a CC dispute if I hadn't heard back. It wouldn't be so bad if the communication was better, but there's radio silence on the other end and other places to order from, i.e. Tony Branda, Cobra Restorers, etc..

UPDATE: Shortly after writing this post, I did receive the aforementioned order along with two other separate orders I've placed since that time. I will agree with posts further down this thread that order fulfillment times seem to have improved.

Almost hate reviving this thread but,
I have a fairly long history with **********. Early on, I was a supporter of Taylor's business. I never had any issues.. This was after being sold to Taylor. Then his service went south which is well documented here and elsewhere and I became another scorned customer if you will.
With all of that, I placed an order for several items on Monday 8.2.2021 at 8:10AM.
3 hours later I received an email order confirmation with the details of my order.
This was followed by an emailed receipt a few minutes later.
Yesterday, 8.4.2021 I received an "Order shipped" notification with tracking info etc.
Today, Thursday 8.5.2021 my parts arrived.
This is how to run a business! Hopefully this wasn't an anomaly and Taylor has his stuff together.
I thought after all my posts about this vendor, I should be fair and post when things go well.
BTW, the parts I wanted were either not available elsewhere, or were too expensive elsewhere.

Just thought I'd post a quick update, as I too decided to try my luck again with Finish Line given the recent positive feedback. ********** is still a gamble.
My $300 order, that consisted of items all displaying "in-stock", is nearing 6 months without a peep from finsihline. Numerous calls & emails, just inquiring if there is ANY idea of availability, but no response.
Now Im leaving voicemails and sending emails stating that I am nearing the 6 month time limit to dispute my PayPal payment..... no response. I knew this would be the game playing the finish line roulette, but it still irks me that he cannot respond. Unless I have products in hand, I will be disputing my payment in 2 weeks, regardless of response from finish line. Im not going to miss the dispute window and have no recourse. So, I wonder if it's official that Finish Line is NO MORE? I hate to see any business fail, but I have to say they deserve it. Or maybe they were just looking for an out. The long, ever evolving Finish Line saga...
Dropped from this site by me "for business reasons".
Numerous, ongoing battles for product from customers, as evidenced by this and other threads.
Spotty (at best) replies when queried for info on orders placed, as evidenced by this and other threads.
Ongoing, month's long (years, really, when you count up the multiple threads on the subject) "free press" via threads like this keeping their once-good name in front of new builders.
Well, that's enough I think.
We have several newer vendors who have thankfully committed themselves to filling the unique parts space we builders need. In case you don't know where the vendors page is, here's a link. (https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/content.php?124-vendors)
As of now there will be no more Finish Line discussions on this forum. If you have business with them and you get burned, don't say you didn't have fair warning. If you recieve your items in 24 hrs after ordering, buy a lottery ticket, 'cause you are a lucky person indeed.
This thread is closed.
