Hello all. Name's Steve. I have been aware of FFR for the last couple of years. I am getting to the time where I'm looking for something I can wrench on myself, something not very expensive, but rewarding to drive - a well-handling targa or convertible. My target cars thusfar have been '76-'83 911SC's and 914's. My daily is a 2001 Land Rover Discovery. Obviously I'm a masochist or something, cause I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty on a car. However, after looking closer at FFR and specifically the 818, I am starting to wander if this might be the more rewarding route. I am REALLY diggin the idea of a modern take on the 914 philosophy: rewarding handling through lightweight construction, not necessarily outright speed. A VFR car.
Anyway, it's good to meet you folks, and this community seems very courteous and supportive. Hope to learn many things from you all, and no matter which way I go with my decision, I am thankful to have discovered this company and forum.
Oh, and if there are any members in the Memphis, TN area I would love to talk to you about your experiences with FFR and to see the fruits of your labor. Thanks!
