View Full Version : Completed '33 Rods (or appear to be)

When I was researching my build before purchasing the kit, I spent some time trying to find different looks of the FFR '33 and it was actually pretty challenging. So I thought I would start this thread in hopes that others will post their completed (I know, they are never really finished) '33's. As a disclaimer, the only picture I took out of all of these was mine. Also, if I have mis-labeled, posted a car not complete a duplicate or just got something completely wrong, pm me and I will attempt to correct. Again, my intent was to just try and have a thread that just has completed views of the cars...by the way, there is no rhyme or reason to the order either.

I just bookmarked this thread. Great spot for everybody's final pics. I used the other websites "glamour" shots page to get some ideas when I was building. Never could find anything on this website till this thread!

yeah - great idea! so many I haven't seen before
Great idea to create a thread with a bunch of beautiful hot rods future builders can find inspiration in. But no race cars? Here, let me fix that for you.

Any pics available of the full fenders / running boards with the top off? That's one of the combinations I didn't see above. Great idea by the way, Thanks for kicking that off.
I'm doing a softtop with full fenders / running boards and I'm curious of how that will look with the top down.

Neat to see all these completed cars. I've been looking to buy either a Cobra roadster, or a '33 Hot Rod. Seeing these '33s is swaying me their way. Thanks JOP33.

Done on mine, but as with all the other toys, I will never stop tweaking / tinkering on it. Just fun working on it.
I'll get better pics one of these days. this was actually the very first outside pic taken just the other day after I took the car off the trailer from my state inspection. I register it today, hoping to get my temporary plate until my single plate from the state arrives so I can take it to some cool parks around here for some better pics.

I also forgot about this post, thanks for resurrecting it.
Lot's of great looking cars, the best that FFR has to offer IMO as the 33HR can be built any way your imagination can take it and it still looks right. Nothing more original and individual than a Merican Hot Rod. A blank canvass that looks perfect no matter how the builder creates it. It's not a replica that boxes you into a corner, you're free to experiment and personalize it like nothing else out there. You won't see any other FFR car without a hood and fenders or with a blower sticking up in front of the windshield, except maybe the truck which is basically a 33HR with a P/U bed instead of a trunk.
Hope to see more completed hot rods here in the near future. And photos of ones that have gone through modifications from the original build. You know they may be complete but they're never done. Like Walt Disney said about Disneyland: "It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world". Hot rods seem to evolve over time.

I really enjoy of how much hot rod attituded and expression is going on. All of these cars are from the same kit, but are so different once done.

Man, the hood makes these cars look so much longer and sleeker than the old-school look of no hood and side panels. Glad I kept my hood as when I'm done racing mine I may have to install the hood (and a street friendly engine under it) and repurpose it into a street car.
