Hello to all, Hope you all had a great 4th of July Holiday.
Its been two years almost to the day when I receive my MKIV. Delivered July 1, 2018.

This build has been one of the most satisfying, fustrating, rewarding, challenging, learning, and fun experiences I've tackeled. I have learned so much from the process and applied to to several other project I am working on.

I have to give a shout out of thanks to several people; John, Jay, Jim, Al, Brendyn, Brian. Without the input and advise of these guys I think I would still be figuring out a ton of stuff and making a ton of mistakes. So Thank You again guys-I appreciate you all taking my calls and helping out.

Got to give thanks to my family and wife. They all have been very supportive throught out this process.

With this all said I hope this link will work for you to view the first start. I primed the fuel pump and line 3 to 4 times before twisting the key.
Talk about being nervous. But with just one twist the Coyote jumped to life! I only had one small upper radiator hose leak once the car got to temp. I let it cool down and make a clamp adjustment, re fired it up and no leaks. My plan is to cycle the engine a few time up to temp and to full cool to check for any other leaks. If this cycling goes smoothly and no issues arrise then its go kart time!

Thanks again to all who have supported me again. I owe you all a few beers for sure....Cheers.
Martin

Martin,

You look very proud of your first start and you should be. Quiet an accomplishment. I tend to agree with Gavin sharing with Linda she married a genius. Though I sense she may regret you hearing that. And Jordan at the ready with not just one but two fire extinguishers. I wonder if he was a little disappointed he wasn't able to use one. Just kidding.

What a fantastic project and to get the entire family involved is price less. Best of luck as you move forward. That first kart ride will be very exciting as you have great roads by you to shake things out.

Awesome!!

Sounds sweat. Love the family support and the handy extinguishers.

I’m a few build hours away cranking up my coyote. I can’t wait. This video is motivating me to pick up the pace (and to check my extinguishers)

Congrats on the 1st start. I to had my first start of Gen 3 Coyote a little over a week ago June 25. Somewhat nerve racking, when the fuel pump seemed not to want to start. But after chatting with Ford Performance Tech and actually cranking everything worked as it should and fired up.

The link didn't work for me...maybe upload it to youtube? Anyway, my mother-in-law was there by chance too. She said, "WHY IS IT SO LOUD?"
