If you've sold your roadster, did you sell it here, on BaT or somewhere else? Were you happy with the decision, or would you have done things different? How did you set your price?

Enquiring minds want to know...

I sold mine on here. Honestly at the time I chose to sell, my wife and I were looking to buy a second home as a potential retirement or least get away from winter place. Instead of using our investments, I chose to sell and it was a tough decision and set the price to sell, not to sit for six months. Did I lose money? Sure but these are not investments or collectibles so thinking you will make money is questionable. You could get all your money back sans labor I guess if your roadster is top notch or you wait for the right buyer. I had a few what I would consider were low ball offers and basically answered with a “No”. I felt those people did not appreciate all the hard work going into a build and know they could not build the same for the monies they were offering. I ended up with two serious buyers and one happen to beat the other strictly by making a decision faster. I will say that it’s possible you could make more on BAT depending on a few factors as I have seen some go for higher than I thought and then some went lower so it’s a bit of a crapshoot although you set your reserve so you are in complete control.

If you’re looking to sell yours, we need to talk as I am interested. :D

If you sell the car, then my recommendation is to sell it to Kyle.

He'd Truly Appreciate The Car Because You Don't Truly Appreciate These Machines Unless You've Built One!
If he doesn't want it, or you can't cut a deal with him, then please let me know.
I've got two people who have the financial means that have been bugging me to sell mine upon completion.
As for me, no way in hell would I sell my car because my journey has taken over five years because of the loss of more than a few of our family members.
Right now I'm putting Redbone back together and it is NOT sale:... https://youtu.be/ELFJDOVKb4g

Unless you are in dire financial straits or simply don't like it, then I'd keep it or give Kyle the right of first refusal.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the responses! Not ready yet, just mulling things over. Feel like I'm not getting the driving time in with the crappy roads and short driving season around Boston. But... maybe if I can execute on an exit strategy that will change.

Once i figure things out, i know who to call...
