I'm juuuuuust about done with sheet metal fitment (I feel like I've been saying that for far too long now) and will be dropping off the first batch to powder coat on Monday. I'd like to get as many of the main holes for wiring harnesses and whatnot located prior to powder coating the panels. I've drilled the 2" hole for the main coyote harness through the firewall. I also fabricated a firewall support brace and put several holes through it to be able to feed wires through, and positioned the RF battery cutoff where it will be going. Are there "tried and true" locations for the other harness holes through the firewall or foot boxes that I could safely drill prior to PC, or am I better off waiting until I start laying out harnesses before I decide on where to drill the holes?
Thanks,
John

John, nice job on that brace and battery switch, looks great! You have really good discipline for attention to detail on your work! Everything you do is meticulous.
I am also in the same camp not sure where I should start drilling holes with the Forte linkage I am using. I am going to hold off until my linkage comes in next week.

Thanks Travis. I sometimes have "paralysis by analysis" and will get into an infinite loop over-thinking things. I think this is where I currently am with sheetmetal. I have this compulsion that I need to have all sheetmetal mods, holes, etc. done before sending everything off for powder coat. I think I just need to get comfortable with the notion that I'll need to make some small tweaks to sheet metal down the road and just move forward.

I only found a few pictures but then again, there are only a couple places where I passed wiring through panels. I tried to keep the engine bay as clean as possible.
Per the manual there are three that I can think of.
Front of the drivers footbox with the provided harness grommet.
Right side of the drivers footbox above my right knee when I'm in the roadster. I did add edge protection hear and sealed the opening.
Right side of the firewall in the small filler panel.

Haha... I thought 'Paralysis by analysis" was part of the process building one of these cars! or in my case "Dazed and confused" ;)
FWIW, all my sheet metal I also drilled before I sent out to PC and needless to say I missed a few holes that I ended up drilling once I had the panel back. Not really a big deal having to drill a few new holes (if you do miss any at all). When you are ready to rivet I also had to chase out all the holes again because the PC will add just enough paint to not allow the rivet to pass through existing hole.
