All,
I'm sure this question has been overplayed.
I am looking to do a rough adjustments for my upper control arm. I came across the following drawing and wanted to confirm as I find the different settings passenger vs drive side a bit confusing.

Any insight is appreciated.

The dimensions are correct, the picture isn't correct
Short dimensions are on the front, long on the rear.

The drawing is incorrect and so is Rich's reply (sorry Rich). The long dimension is to the front (short in front would result in negative caster). If you're using power steering these dimensions will be different but in any case it's just a stating point.

Yep Jeff you're correct, got the dimensions backwards. I was tired, and old.

I think someone took a shortcut. They drew the UCA in the top of the picture and then copied it, rotated it, and moved it to the bottom. Notice the numbers on the bottom UCA are upside down.

Maybe it's setup for crabbing. This gave me a headache.

Kleiner for the win! :)
Just went through this a few weeks ago, shorter in back longer in front - trim the rear sleeves to get even more caster-ability :)

I've had the frontend off many times for maintenance and various upgrades and always found it easiest to adjust/shorten the rear leg as much as possible and then back it out a turn for some adjustment and then put a level on the rim at 90* (a carpenter's square will also work, cut down a 2x4 so you measuring against the rim and not the tire) and adjust the front leg for plum (quite easy to reach up and grab the front adjuster with the car on the ground, even easier on a lift). This usually gets me close to max caster/0 camber and I can fine-tune with the FasTrax from there. My 2 cents for what it is worth. Scott

Note that these dimensions are for use with the FFR spindles only
Measuring from the grease fittings on the cross bar links to the fitting at the center of the ball joint you'll want to be about 9-9 1/4" on the front leg and 8 1/4-8 1/2" on the rear. Generally it will be necessary to cut the rear adjusting sleeve and the corresponding male threads that mate with them down by approximately 1/4" in order to reach 8 degrees positive caster along with .5 to .75 degree negative camber.
