Day 3:
Craig was having a great time using his "man machine"....wanted to cut up car in small pieces to fit in 1 box and send it back to F5 with a note: "This MK3 came apart at WOT...send new MK4". :)

Wow,.. I guess I may have missed some of your previous threads about what happened. I am sorry for the accident but glad you're ok and in good spirits. Looks like you will have this back on the road in no time.
So questions, did you just reorder the specific parts you needed from FFR?
That's cool.
good luck

DRIVE WITH YOUR LIGHTS ON!!!
got it.
so is your "drive with your lights on" comment a reference to what happened?
I happen to be having a problem where my lights suddenly shut off while driving. pretty weird and scary.

To stay on the "Drive with our lights theme", I think there is merit in doing it because drivers are becoming less focused on driving going forward. People text and talk much more than ever before. I actually saw several commercial vehicles on the freeway in LA with workboards attached to their steering wheels and they were flipping pages and writing down notes as they drove.
On a happier note: Glad you made it unscathed. Can't say the same for the Mk3. But it's looking better already. Charles, are you going to completley replace the body? Whatever you do, I'm sure it will be done well. See you later, WEK.

So that was the big surprise. Remember: "measure twice, cut once". In this case maybe three measures. But seriously, I have found that in this process using the same measuring tool for every measurement (don't switch tapes) can make a difference. An eight of an inch here and there can really matter. I apologize if that is too remedial but I have just seen it happen so much. Thanks, WEK.
