Hey everybody,
I'm not a new member but I've been inactive for quite a while but I'm starting my push to get my roadster done. I have a Mk3.1 that was delivered in 2007. Its running and mostly complete but not registered and I have some body panel fitting and some other small things to finish up before I can register it. Jeff Kleiner is going to paint it, early next year (I hope I'm still on his list :) )
I'm in the western suburbs of Chicago (Naperville to be exact) and I had previously met a couple fellow builders out here. I got pretty busy with life and the car took a back seat. I ended up buying an old house built in 1905 so that has been a fun project. I also started a company and that has been a lot of work (hubitat.com) we also have a large active community (community.hubitat.com) but definitely a different group than here!
Anyways its good to be back, I just got done replacing the brakes and had to replace both front calipers since they seized up.. Next up is a new battery and then I'm going to work on getting a mk4 trunk lid and hidden hinges fitted.
