Autozone #s;
#6406; 3.0 turns lock to lock
#6439; 2.5 turns lock to lock
#64163 2.25 turns lock to lock
When you pick it up take a small pair of vise grips with you to clamp onto the splined shaft to count the turns.

Lock to lock, and ratio are two different things. Ratio is how much the rack moves with one turn of the steering wheel. Lock to lock can easily be changed just by adding or subtracting spacers on the end of the rack. You can change a 3 turn rack to a 2.25 turn just by adding two spacers, you can't change the ratio of how much the rack moves with one turn of the wheel.

The 3.0 turn rack is a different ratio than the 2.5 and 2.25. The 2.5 and 2.25 racks are the same ratio, just limited travel on the 2.25 as Rich mentioned. I generally recommend a 3.0 turn rack for cars that are primarily used on the street.

I recently converted to Power Steering and pondered over this same question for quite a while. You will find a strong preference in both Forums for a 3.0 turn power steering rack for a street car. I went with a 3.0 turn rack and am very happy with it.

I agree on the 3 turn rack. Being an avid autocrosser I tried the 2.5 turn rack. Left it in the car for most of a summer figuring I would get used to it on the street. I never did like it for street driving so I took it out and went back to a 3 turn.

I love my quick ratio rack. Especially for autocross. I rarely have to change hand position.
It did feel twitchy at highway speed, but not for long.
I am using an AGR Cobra R rack and pump. I did have a line seal on the rack blow out on me, but fixed it with some fittings from Breeze.
