Whats up everyone? I live in South West Louisiana. Been a car guy all my life, including childhood. My Father is a mechanic and has since retired from work but still piddles around the house with cars, he helps me wrench on mine quite a bit. I've built several Mustangs from the ground up, all pushrod engines from 255 to 438 cid. I specialize in SBF Windsor based stroker engines, or at least did for many years of my life. I currently own a 2019 10R80 PP1 car that I love to drive around. But to get to my point I guess, I've wanted an AC Cobra all my life and realization sat in a few years ago the I'd never be able to afford a real one. Probably would be afraid to drive it if I did own one. So here's my dilemma, I'm a big guy, 6Ft, 335lbs, just a big ol country bot thick from my shoulders down to my waist. So I am not real sure I could even fit into one of these cars comfortably. Ive ran Foxbody Mustangs most of my adult life, but I understand the quarters may be a bit more snug than those cars. If I could meet up with someone and actually see the car in person up close, possibly sit in it and see how it fits me would be awesome. I'd hate to pull the trigger on one of these kits and build it only to find I'm just too damn big. I greatly appreciate any and all advice given, found, heard or read guys. Thanks again!!

Big Chris,

The height is doable, but to fit the back of your front you will likely need Kirkey Vintage Low Backs or Kirkey Type 55 Drag seats.
I'm 5'10" at 180 with a 32" inseam and I fit perfectly, but I doubt if my set up will work for you.
If you find yourself on the Eastern side of the state (Slidell) please look me up.
We can yank the driver seat if necessary.

Thank you for the offer. I live above Lake Charles in a small rural one horse town. I don't get that way much anymore. I have a 30-31" inseam and a longer/taller torso. I may look like Magilla the Gorilla in one of these cars. I know my buddy has an older Targa Top Vette and about 2" of my head sticks out the top of that thing lol

I'm in Madisonville (not too far from you Steve!) I was kind of concerned about this too with the new Speedstar. I've heard people >6' are hitting their head on the roof.

Hi Chris, im 6'2" but only 190# so your highth is not an issue, seems to me that big guys in the past had trimmed some from the inside top of the door to add some width for comfort, maybe some of them will chime in.
