I scratched my hood putting car back together for final assembly. It feels like it takes so much tweaking and adjusting that it's bound to happen. I just had to walk away after I did it. Allen wrench socket broke tightening grille and slipped and hit hood.130302

I’m worried about the same thing when I get to that point. I plan on having a friend help with the finished painted panels.

Can't really tell how deep it is but maybe some 2000 then 3000 and hit it with a foam pad on a rotary buffer. I've fixed a lot of paint issues I did not think would come out. BTW I totally feel your pain. Good luck. Scott

I have the hood off and ready to go back to the painter. We'll see if it need repainted or scratch repaired.

Tony,

Don't sweat the little stuff.
This is a problem that a little time and maybe some money will solve.

As they say " *~*^ happens" sometimes. Don't sweat it, easily repaired.
