Just received this from the gentleman, at the DMV, I've been corresponding with since the shutdown.
I will post progress reports / updates in this thread - Mike (this may take awhile since I have disassembled back to "go cart" to work on plumbing and wiring etc.)

Did he say it would be a replica, kit car or assembled from parts title?

one of forms required asks if it is: check all that apply: hot rod, kit car, replica, made from tinker toys etc; I'm hoping to have positive conversation with the guy before I check all the boxes that apply

Here is our further conversation -
Thank you for your continued assistance.

Item #9 - Is there an official weigh station I must use or what can I submit to satisfy this req.?

Appointment - Location? Is this to inspect vehicle or interview me? Does this appointment result in a title/tag or just satisfy requirements to apply for title/tag?

Your choice of a weigh station. I know there is 1 at the 595 Truck Stop near the corner of 595 and 441 but others in Broward County. The appointment is to inspect the vehicle at our office in Margate. I will put an FLA sticker on the vehicle and give you a sealed envelope for you to take to a tag agency to registrar. Any other questions, just ask!.

Thanks, that station is very close by.

Is there a list of what you will be checking for? - fenders, air bags, wipers; car is not complete at this time, fenders off for painting etc, but I would like to get it tagged so it will be good to go when complete

No answer for that last question yet. Thats all I know right now will keep you posted

Anybody got any good ideas; I'm all ears

In the past all they were interested in was the paperwork, chassis #, engine and trans#'s that matched the paperwork. I have never had them check lights, wipers, ETC. That being said from all the folks calling me over the last 7 years about FL title issues no 2 DMV's or Regional Motorist Services offices seem to do the same thing. It is a shame.

Hello Mike, I will be looking for all the major components are on the vehicle (fenders, hood, bumper, quarter panel, trunk lid, doors and any airbags) as well as the serial numbers on the engine, transmission and frame. I can issue you a letter for a 10 day temp tag when you are ready. You would then go to the tag agency and they will issue you the tag. Any other questions just ask!

As he wrote on his reply to you ASPT, Assembled from parts and your year will be 2020. I used the West Palm Beach Motorist Services office and did not have to supply picture of the car. They inspected nothing and simply applied the VIN number tag. I have no windshield wipers and he wants to inspect airbags, trunk lid, etc.?? You may want to visit another office.

it definitely makes a difference who you go to. try calling other offices and get names and times they will be there when they sound cooperative. i had to have an officer come out to verify the VIN tag on a out of state title transfer in stuart fl. good luck.
