I just ran the Tail of the Dragon (US Hwy 129, N. Carolina/Tennessee border) with my Challenge Car last week. I did the northbound on Thursday and the southbound early on Friday. Very little traffic, perfect weather conditions, though I did have to slow down to let a black bear cross the road! Fun times ... and a few pics to prove that it happened.

What a blast! You're looking good, big smiles.
I rode with Hal Copple in his Superformace years ago and drove it once in my Audi S4.

Good looking car and gorgeous paint scheme...and the dragon as background just makes me green with envy.
My last run there was 5yrs ago but for 10yrs in a row that was my scape from reality.
The most fun I had was the yearly midnight run of route 28 from Deals gap to Fontana dam to Robbinsville, with more than 15 cars and anybody that hit the brakes went to the back of the pack....
