Hello,
I have had my body on and off a dozen or so times. Where as the windshield sat flush, now sits high in the middle, even weighted down after time. The foam is compressed with no give.

While body work has been slow as I enter the 13 month (averaging less than one day per week), and zero in on finalizing the cowl/hood line, I am baffled why I am now high in the middle of the windshiled frame...

Does anyone know if this otherwise gummy foam hardens over time?

Which foam did you use? My other hobby is high power rocketry, and we've all learned (usually the hard way) NEVER to use the aerosol foam-in-a-can such as Great Stuff, et al. We use any of several two-part urethane foams. These all are closed-cell foams that solidify completely and permanently in five minutes or a bit less. The canned junk is an unstable mess that is open-cell (therefore absorbent like a sponge which is usually not good) and that turns back to a liquid at the worst possible time.

Google two-part urethane foam and you'll find what you need.
