Thinking I want to go with something other than FFR Halibrand wheels for my MK4, just for a different look, but having a heck of a time finding suitable options. I've spoken with several of the major wheel supply companies without much luck. Most just ask for a specific model and year and are not set up for custom builds. I've been using the same sizing as the Halibrand wheels for my search:

Front: 17"x 9" with 6" Backspace and 24mm Offset (11" Brakes)
Rear : 17"x 10.5" with 6.7" Backspace and 27mm Offset (IRS with 13" Brakes)
Offset Wheel Lug Pattern: Ford style 5 lug x 4.5"

Curious where others have gone to find wheels.

Thanks,

Randy

Mine are 17x9 all around, but they have 10.5 with a deep dish.

Virtually any of the aftermarket 1994-2004 Mustang wheels offered in 17x9 and 17x10.5 by vendors such as American Muscle, OE Wheels, Late Model Restoration and others will be compatible.

Thanks guys, didn't realize that the fitment was the same for '94-'04 Mustang. That helps a lot. Nice looking wheels and paint scheme Mark! I see you used Ken for painting. I'm hoping to get mine to him in the next couple months.

Take a look at Team 3 Wheels for reasonably priced custom backspacing quality wheels, and make a tire choice part of the process as some of the better performance tires are 18's. Just options to consider.

Best deal! Mustang Bulllit wheels from American Muscle. 17x9 front with 245-45 and 17x10.5 rear with 275-40. Wheels are about $100 each. Rears clear IRS brake caliper by 1/8 inch!

My opinion---which is worth exactly what you paid for it---is that 275s are stretched on a 10.5" wheel. Most brands of 275/40-17 have a tread width of 9.5" or less which is narrower than the rim. 275s should go on a 9" wheel and 10.5" wheels should have 315/35 tires. Similarly and for the same reason I prefer a 255/40 on the front rather than 245/45.

Hope I gave you your moneys worth with that ;)

When you go to American Muscle click on the 94-04 button. There are many, many options and each comes in several finishes.
