In January, FFR sent out an email with some changes to the lengths for the lower control arm.
One arm went from 15 5/8 to 14. The other from 18 5/8 to 17 5/8.
On my car (GEN 2) this is at the minimum range for the adjustment - they are short as I can make them and even then not quite at these numbers. For any of you that have completed a "real" street alignment, what numbers did you end up with?
Almost read for Go-Cart stage!!!

That's a huge change! I see those old numbers in my copy (#2R), page 31, and it does say "Use the diagram above to roughly set the caster and camber alignment on the front suspension until a real alignment can be put on the car."
Obviously the real alignment may not need that much.. let's hope!!

I guess that's due to some Gen 2 changes. I wonder if this "hybrid" chassis that I have needs that change or not?

I’m hoping to get some as-aligned measurements from folks for reference.
Of all the things in the manual I would have thought to update, the 3 they included were never on my list!!

Did Gen2 make any front suspension changes? I didn't think so.. there was a lot of mention of body changes, interior space, bulkhead, footwells, floor, etc. The only suspension thing I ever read was that they centered the rear suspension.
Yeah, +1 on hearing what someone's on-the-road pro alignment measurements ended up being.

It's important to note that it was not just the measurements that changed but the parts too. The bushing sleeves now have longer tabs that solve the bolts hitting the frame problem. Along with the revised tabs on the sleeves the tubes are also shorter. I had FFR send me the new parts for my 35 truck.

I should add too that if you have the original style parts I don't think you should assemble per the revised instructions. You may want to verify with FFR on that.

Fascinating, thanks! I'd love to see a pic of this new front hardware if anyone gets a chance.

Here you go. I'm not sure where my old parts are for comparison but these should at least show the longer tabs on the bushing sleeves. 129797129798

Thanks for this information. I'll check with them. Neither upper or lower work well with the old ends.

Let me work on the data for you tomorrow. I just rolled over 1100 miles and did an alignment twice.
