Layed up this dashboard mold. This is a rough layup, working on the cowl. This dashboard slides in to the front dashboard piece made of 1/16 aluminum. The front piece rivets to the fiberglass windshield mount and screws a top of the front rollbar. This makes the windshield much firmer. It has a channel that slide in the front piece and then drops down on 3 quick release pins and it will easily lift off to provide access to most of the electronics/electric connections. The molded sides will also seal the dash and channel water out of the driver compartment. Best part of this dash setup is how all the controls are easily reached while buckled in.

Just the kind of projects this car begs you to do - looks great. Post that CF by all means.

Holy cow, you're not kidding! This thing is such a blank canvas; from mild-to-wild, it's all welcome.
Totally digging the custom dash. Quick access to the electronics is sweetness (I'd say great minds think alike, but then I'm bringing you down to my level). Are you keeping the carbon look or will it get covered/painted?
Best,

Update:
Finally finalizing the plug that will he used to make the mold. This mold will he used to make a solid carbon fiber part. The plug could be used as a dash but it is heavy. I also have the 2 carbon fiber panels installed in the center console. I used lead sheeting to build a rough shape overall the center console stuff. I built a plate to push off that will support the clay part of the console so you can push off it to get out of the car. I also had to move the upper part of the console as far over as possible because it interferes with your arms when turning the steering wheel.

Great projects and parts!
When it comes to the final parts, if going vacuum infusion you might consider this stuff; https://www.fibreglast.com/product/lantor-soric-xf/Vacuum_Bagging_Vacuum_Infusion I learned of and used it for my CF airbox and it worked great. It helps the resin flow and the end result is super strong- more like a helmet than an airbox!
Thanks for the inspiration and posting.
