Replacing windshield

When you have to replace your glass windshield, can you just unscrew the 4 screws on each side to pull the windshield frame?

On my MKIV, just the screws on the sides need to be removed to get the frame and glass out. There’s a little more to get the glass out of the frame but none of this is difficult or time consuming.

X2. I had to replace the glass in my Mk4 windshield last year. Removed the screws from the side bars and the glass with frame lifted right out. Pretty easy way to do it actually. I ordered just the replacement glass from Factory Five so had to remove the glass from the frame and re-install it. Wasn't too hard but somewhat challenging. My glass replacement insurance paid for it, including my labor. That was an unexpected surprise.
