Having trouble getting headlights installed in buckets. I think the mounting flange is oriented correctly, but will not set flush in the bucket. Do I need to trim this plastic boss off the bucket or am I off somewhere else?

You want to mount the buckets to the body first and then the bulbs and gasket after. That boss should be oriented to the lower-right (5 o'clock) orientation if I recall. The light does not sit flush to the bucket.
Edit: As Paul correctly states below, gasket and then buckets.

No don't trim anything. Agree the buckets need to go into the body first. The gasket does go between the bucket and body though. As far as orientation of the bucket, you should see the bosses for the adjuster screws at the top and then over on one side. There's a clip that attaches near the bottom that helps to hold the trim ring in place. Rotate until each of those are in the right places. The manual instructions are pretty decent as I recall.

Thanks Dave and Paul.

How about the back side boss of the adjusting screws on the bucket, I think I need to enlarge these pre-drilled holes so the bucket and gasket sit flush on the body?

Absolutely. The holes drilled in the body by FFR are in the right place, but you will likely need to enlarge them to get the bucket flush to the body. Also keep in mind that once painted, you may need to do the same thing.
