Anyone have the part number for a replacement ball joint? I was doing some maintenance while I had the body off and busted a zerk off. I know I can get them from FFR, but I like options.

Also, in case anyone is on the fence abt the boig cool tubes I just installed them and I can say they are well worth the $400. I ran the corrugated steel for abt 1500 miles before I had an issue and I wish I had done the boig tubes from the start.

At the Cascade Enduro last year Dragonfly Racing had a ball joint failure. They found an identical replacement at the local auto parts store for a Dodge as I recall. Sorry I don't know the year/model/part number.

I would go ask this in the roadster forum. Same control arm but 100s more builders to ask.

This is what I have in my notes:

UPPER BALL JOINT Moog PN K772
Lower ball Joints, MOOG K9513

On the fronts, I found that if I dial in to much camber. I could not stop as well because not a full contact patch.
My solution was to dial in less camber and use the 1" long ball joint that give me more camber gain under compression.

Here is my second 818. Found a good home for another father son project.

Nice to see you found a good home for it, although I’m bummed we’re not going to see what you can build for an 818e!

Btw if anyone mungs a zerk on the UCA ball joint the replacement zerk in mine was a 1/8”.
