I am thinking of building a cobra but only have a small one car garage. How much space is required to build a cobra?
Thanks

You can do it in a single car garage; however, you'll need a place to store the body and multitude of boxes.

Below is a video of my shop which has only one bay:

Great. Thanks for the advice.

If I can do it, then so can you.

Currently I'm waiting to get my body back from the paint shop, but this is how it looked last year in Red Gel-Coat!

Lots of people have built in a one car garage. Questions to ask yourself. Do you have a place to store the body? Raised to the ceiling of the garage or in the back yard, or in your living room (don't laugh, it's been done). How long will it need to be stored? How long will it take you to get to go-kart stage? This could be 12 weeks or a few years. Can you live with it in your living room that long, or keep it from getting damaged in the back yard?

If you really want to do this build, you'll make it work! Good luck

I've been building my Mk4 in my 11ft. wide single car garage since Mar. of 2017. I built an elevated body buck on wheels that fit over the frame, I just wheeled it out of the garage then back in when I was finished working for the day. Since last fall I have had tha body on the frame 99% of the time so I kept the body buck just cut about 4 feet off of the buck's legs.

After being blessed with a 600sqft garage space with lift etc, I find myself now in a 2 car garage that my wife still parks in!

So I came up with a number of spacesavers. My big benchs are in my kids storage, so I made some narrower benches. I took advantage of having some shelves/drawers on wheels, and put more on the walls. Plus I got some cheap dollies (https://www.summitracing.com/parts/MRM-M998002) so I can pull my car away from the wall easily. During the week the car is pushed up against the benches, but I can move the car sideways with little effort.

It really helped buying the hotrod in stages, so I haven't had a body lying around. That comes next month. But the hardtop I bought is outside wrapped in a tarp and off the ground.

That seems like a good solution. I'm gonna think that one over for a bit.

Thanks,
