Just a quick question to those that have done Greg M's ABS installation. Does the system go into self check mode, (clicking of the pump modules, and the ABS light on the dash lighting for 1 or 2 seconds to show that it passed self check), with just the key on, or does it require for the engine to be started? Got some new wiring done to the switch for checking the codes, and decided to do a key on test, and didn't get any illumination of the ABS light.

Is it a LED light? Try reversing polarity on the bulb or use an incandescent bulb to test circuit.

CNIdog, thanks for the suggestion. I'll try reversing the polarity on the dash light. I'm using one of the turn indicator style dash lights. Not sure if changing the polarity will fix it, but it's worth a try. Right now I'm clueless as to what could be wrong. The brakes still work, just not sure about the ABS. I've asked Greg_M so many questions, I just keep confusing myself. More of my electrical challenge!

Make sure you are running +12 to the bulb. The ABS module grounds the indicator light to turn it on.

2bking, I have the dark green wire, ABS Ind. Output, from the module split with one leg going to the light, and the other leg to the switch. The orange/white wire, ABS Diagnostic Comm, goes to the other side of the switch, and the other side of the light goes to a fuse panel with a 5A fuse. I'm trying to figure what I did wrong, and how I can determine what it is. I really want to make this work.

I don't understand the split you have in the dark green wire from the module (pin 16). that wire should go to the indicator light and the other side of the light to the "run" side of the ignition switch which will provide the +12 to the light. The module grounds the pin 16 to turn on the light if there's a fault detected or the ABS is engaged. The diagnostics is run every time the ABS module is powered up. Here is the Mustang wiring diagram:

The ground switch is shown in the ABS module at pin 16. What is not clear is the +12 at the light.

Part of the difference may be that I'm using a three zone 95 mustang ABS. I'm working off the wiring diagram that Greg_M put together when he did all the research on this about 8 years ago. For now this may be a moot point, as I just finished the intake manifold gasket Wed., and filled the cooling system back up with coolant yesterday. I haven't even started the engine yet, and I have coolant leaking again, for the third time. The engine builder couldn't get it to not leak, I haven't been able to get it to not leak, so my Cobra dream may be finished. I'm so tired of chasing crap like this, after almost eight years, I'm not sure I want to continue.
