Hello from Stuart Florida

Greetings all. Joined the forum a couple years ago after thinking about building a Cobra for about 15 years. Finally getting close to placing the order.

The forums have been a great help getting the info needed to move forward. My brother and I were scheduled for a build school in March but had to cancel for the Covid. After 2 months sitting at home I figured no time like the present to do something like this.

Thanks in advance for everyone's help. If anyone is in the Stuart or Martin County area with a build let me know. I haven't seen any so far on the forums

On a good day we can see it from the bridge over the intercoastal. Not a bad view. I'll be there tomorrow.

Welcome to the forum, I finished my build about 2 1/2 years ago. Dont think the rocket is going up today. I can usually see it from my back yard.

I had lived in Jensen Beach years ago when attending the old FIT (the later Florida Tech.) branch campus there. I miss it and the beach drives along A1A.

Gnzo84 - Welcome! I didn’t build my Mk1 but purchased it complete three years ago. I have done a ton of upgrades and will start a body off refresh in the coming months. Like Ken said, there are a bunch of folks in Florida and a bunch here in the south west area. One of these weekends I need to get myself to Ken‘s place to see his truck! Henry Renaud is also in Port Charlotte and always has something cooking in his shop. If you think you’ll be down this way let us know!

Pat, welcome from stuart also. Just bought a 33 coupe from Kentucky. The builder of the car had also built a kit helicopter that I owned. The buyer of the coupe backed out and left bub hanging. We traded units and must say we are both very happy with the results. So, there is also a roadster being built in the early stages in stuart. This is one of the nicest places to live.
