Doing the prep work to cover the new dash. Can't remember how much to cut off the ends. Old dash is gone so I have no way to match them up.

Kevin, I just swapped out my dash a few months ago. I chopped about 2 inches off the PS side. DS should be OK. I glued 1/4 inch padding on the aluminum, then glued the leather on to that. It looks like you pretty much took the whole cockpit apart on your car. Yikes!

Thanks all will do the surgery. Yeah it seemed like a good time to do all the things I have been putting off because I was driving it almost everyday & did not want to stop to take it apart.

How difficult was it to get the transmission out with it in the car? Have always been concerned about the difficulty of changing the clutch

Never took it compleatly out. Was able to rotate it onto its side to push it back enough to slip the bellhousing past the input shaft with some wiggling. The trans jack took the weight while I played around with it. I also pulled off the red panel & shift stub. Don't know it that made much of a difference but since I was changing the trans oil figured why not.
