I put my drive shaft in today and there is what appears to me a really big drop from the transmission back to the pinion. I’m running the T45 back to an 8.8 4 link rear end. I have the car flat on the ground in my garage. I checked the angle of the garage and it is flat. I went to the harmonic balancer and measure 0 degrees. I then went to my pinion flange and it measured -2 degrees. I know that is acceptable. But it appears to be about a 2 inch drop from the transmission flange back to the pinion flange. On such a short drive shaft I’m worried. I looked thru the forms and didn’t see after a quick look. I do realize the shaft is too short and must be lengthened. Any thoughts?128903

Your ride height may be a factor, but the yoke looks like it is sticking way to far out.
You need to be between 3.75 and 4.25 (Front) and 4.00 and 4.50 in the rear.
Also, what percentage of the yoke is in versus out of the transmission?

I know it is sticking out too far. It’s because it was shortened too much. I need them to retube it. It’s about 1 1/4 inches short.

Just checked ride height. Way off. Front was 5 1/4 front and rear is 6 1/2. Thanks for the help.
