I've always loved the high pitched sound of the horns from the vintage Ferraris and Maseratis of the 50's and 60's. So I decided to change the standard government regulated "F" note horn to a Fiamm brand 2 trumpet air horn. For me the replacement was easy. I removed the original horns and was able to use the original bracket that I made and mount the whole system on that bracket. No cutting or drilling needed. And the original wires just connected up.

That is awesome! The tone fits the style of car way better than the "F" note horn.

I use this one on nearly every customer build I do. It has the right tone and is all self contained. No hoses to blow off.

Usually $40 at HF and if you have a 20% off coupon............... You get the idea.

That looks like a good model. I like the idea of no hoses

Put this on my truck. Might be a bit much for the car but....

The train horn...that’s awesome. I could tell you from years of first hand experience that a fire engine air horn will make people move out of your way. A train horn might make them soil their pants.

No worries Rich. No offense taken. But thats why I love it. Its different and its my squeaky toy! The Italian corporation Fiamm supplied The Series 3000 trumpet horns to Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Mazeratis, and the likes during the 50’s and 60’s. If you were to restore those vehicles today to concourse condition, those squeaky horns, if you could find originals, will set you back several hundred dollars. When I go to Monterey Car Week (Pebble Beach) and the Concours de Elegance, I often ask the owners to toot their horn. I love it.

It was back in the 70’s when I was driving my daily driver a ’68 TR- 250. I made a lot of changes to that car over the 15 years that I had it. One change was to add air horns. Well, I still haven’t grown up yet as I’ve added them to my FFR roadster.

As I did in the 70’s I’ve added two switches to the console under the dash so I can select the standard horns or the air horns. The second switch allows me to select one solid blast or an alternating sound from the air horns all activated from a modified MGA horn button to the bottom left of the console.

Know what you mean.

I'm working on the same "Big Horn" application, but I am planning on Hi-Lo trumpets. Bench test sounds awsome !! - Look out !

Fiamm twins in their 3rd location on my Mk1. I had them on top of the X frame, then under the X frame, and now in their current position.
