Hi all,

so I am going a different route and doing a LS3 in my coupe, with the OEM DBW accelerator pedal from the Camaro.

initial look and it seems to be really close to usable but I am concerned that my throttle pedal is deeper into the footbox than the brake/clutch. it goes through full motion without contacting anything but heel-toe would be an exercise in flexibility that I just don't have.

Out of curiosity I'd like to see what other setups look like. Can someone take a really simplistic measurement of how a coyote or cable drive pedal sits compared to their brake pedal? even some pictures would work from front/side of the footbox

thanks!

My Gen 3 Coupe with the Wilwood pedal box and modified Coyote DBW. Obviously before the carpet was 100% done. The accelerator pedal is roughly level with the brake pedal when it's pushed down to start actuating the brakes. For my street cruising I would rarely if ever try heel/toe, but should work set up this way. Haven't driven the car a lot unfortunately due to the lockdown. Only 115 miles. But it's similar to previous Roadsters and feels just right.

I'm doing a LS as well... I cut out the FFR pedal bracket as it was in the way of where I wanted to put my pedal. I welded in a 1x1 bar just below the bracket for the steering shaft and am working on a bracket to have laser cut out to weld on to the 1x1 bracket....here is the prototype I will be 3d printing

I can send you measurements in a bit, but my accelerator is roughly a ½ to ¾ inch recessed further forward than the brake and clutch. I had a post on this very issue a few months back. At first this concerned me, but after driving driving it a few miles in the gokart stage I really ended up liking it.

I do a fair bit of heel-toe so I like this generally, but I was also concerned about daily driving. But what I found surprising is that the footbox and pedals are already so close together side-to-side that having them in different planes gave a really nice tactile differentiation so there was little chance of mistaking one for another (especially with thicker shoes). Also, because there is so little space side-to-side, you’re less likely to accidentally touch or brush the accelerator with the right side of you foot under light braking.

It’s all personal preference, but I’ve found the deeper accelerator to be really nice.

thanks for the replies guys! I am just trying to avoid having to re-fabricate something if I dislike the position after it's all connected.
