Does anybody have any thoughts on the Roadster tank from Boyd Welding?

I'll be opting for the EFI version.

It looks like a quality tank. I wonder if it hold more fuel than the stock tank? I looks like it does. Personally I would paint it black so it blends in more. Nice option.

I think it is 15 gallons. I have never seen the efi version of his tank though.

I agree, it would be helpful to potential customers if the roadster tank capacity was included on their website. I emailed the owner, Dave Boyd, last June with this very question and he said the standard roadster tank is 22 gallons.

At our prices that means £126 (about $200) to fill up and about 220 miles of fun. So I can get to the race track and back, but I can't drive much when I am there. Does anybody have any pictures of the EFI Roadster tank either out of the car or fitted?

Bump.. I am looking for a photo of installed tanks. The only thing holding me back from ordering one is if its more visible then the factory five stock tank.

I have one installed. I powder coated it satin black. It fits using the straps from the FFR tank and has the same bottom height. It is not more visible and blends in well in black. The increased volume is in the top. It completely fills the upper (top) side. Do not plan to use any drop storage areas like you can with the FFR tank. I can pm you a picture. if you like. I also ordered the in-tank EFI pump installed. The quality of the the tank and assembly is awesome.

I have the Boyd Tank but had it "customized" with welded tabs which I am planning on putting bolts through in order to hold it up without using straps. I'll try and post pics as soon as I can.

I looked at those photos and to me it looks like it hangs lower then the stock tank. If im crazy on this thought then I am ordering one up today just to prevent future issues ive read about.
