I connected the tail lights and for the most part they are working as they should, however the license plate light operates the same as the left tail light, ie:
On steady with Parking lights (as it should);
Bright with Brake depressed;
Blinks when the blinker blinks

I have the harness Black (ground) -> lamp White
harness Yellow (turn) -> lamp Red
harness Tan (tail) -> lamp Black
I had the purple co-connected with the Tan tail to the Black, but disconnected it...no change.

What am I doing wrong :confused:

There is a separate tan/black wires in a separate wire loom for the license light. It is between the L and R tail light wires.

Ok I see that. I figured that was for a different application.
So I wire those wires directly to the black/white wires in the light housing that go to the license light?

I did not use the kit tail light so I must defer that answer to someone else. If the tail light uses the parking light to light up the plate then just use the tan and black wire to that side. Not the separate wires. But if there is a separate bulb for the license then use the separate wires. Hope that makes sense. :confused:

Yes, makes sense.
Thanks again!
