Hi, I have a Coyote with KRC power steering. I have an interference issue between the upper radiator hose connection to the engine and the power steering pump belt. See photo. If I pull up on the connector assembly it will give me about 1/8" of clearance but I have no idea how to keep it up there. Has anyone else had this issue?

Common problem and happened to me also. Mentioned in a number of build threads. The connection is keyed with a push on fitting. If you pull the hose off the connection you'll see it. There are several possible solutions. The solution I liked and used was to cut a new slot for the key so that the hose rotated slightly. Used a 1/8-inch burr in my Dremel, cut a new slot about 3/8-inch away from the existing one (it doesn’t take much) and pushed back together keying on the new slot. Rotated the hose enough that now I have about 1/4-inch clearance.

Thank you, I thought about cutting a new slot but was concerned about the wall thickness being too thin and possibly cracking later on. If it doesn't take to deep of a slot for a good connection then this is the way I'll go. Thanks again for the advice and confirmation.

If you don't cut it any deeper than the original slot, don't see how it would be a problem.

Mission accomplished. It worked out well. Thanks.
