This came from the F5 site

We changed the front suspension geometry which resulted in improved grip. The complete kit uses new spindles and has better king-pin angle. You can still use the 1987-1993 spindles (the mounts are still there).

What if I don't want the complete kit... what spindles are these?

They are now using the spindles from the '33.

From what I was told, F5 now has their own spindle with improved suspension geometry. The suspension points are different, but its still set-up to take SN95 brake hardware.

They are custom made for FFR with bolt on steering arms. Some of the early kits got the 33 arms or 2 lefts. There was also a safety recall on bolts breaking. They probably got that sorted out now. I was told by a FFR tech the 3.1 complete kit spindles were a oem type. My guess Ford stopped producing them and they had to secure parts for the 33 so a new design fixed both. I have the later spindles on mine and use the same GT brakes FFR supplied with the so called" complete" kit. I swapped out the rotors for Brembo's and switched to Hawk plus pads and can hang you on the Simpson belts with very little pedel pressure. No need for power brakes with this setup and it stops faster too. Remimber power brakes don't stop better they just make you think you are driving Granny's Camry with lower pedal pressure.

Al, it means if you buy the complete kit you get the new, custom spindles, and if you buy the base kit, you get brackets to use 87-93 or SN95 spindles.

Hey Al,
What Joe said. The FFR proprietary spindles are kinda' pricey when bought outside of the complete kit. Next best, and more economical choice is to use '94 or '95 Mustang ones with the SAI spindle adapters from your pals at Whitby's (You do not need the entire SAI kit because the relocated upper control arm mounts are already on the Mk4 frame).

Got your PM---response coming tonight or tomorrow :)
