I searched but found nothing that pertained to the truck or Hot rod. So where are you mounting your horns? The manual has them going in probably close to half way through and show them being mounted to frame brackets that no longer exist on the Gen 2 chassis. The alternate location is just in front of the front shocks, but that would have been way easier to do BEFORE the shocks were installed! Also, if installed there will they interfere with the lower radiator hose routing??

I have my chassis up on jack stands again so I could finish the brake bleeding, so I could remove the front shocks if this is in fact the best place for the horns.

I would find an area near the frame on the drivers side that meets your requirements. You can remove tape from the harness and move the wires some to meet your needs.

Yes, the manual position is impossible. I mounted mine on the round tube going from the engine side member to the crossmember behind the shocks. The wires come out of the harness right at that spot also. Seems to fit nicely.

Well, I bought some stubby drill bits and with my right angle air drill I was able to get the horns mounted just ahead of the front shocks: 128884

I actually liked them mounted there, that is until I attempted to hang the radiator and grill assembly and the horns were directly in the way of the lower outlet of the radiator.

I'm getting tired of spending so much time undoing things on this build.

Heres an option for you. I just drilled and tapped the lower square frame tube and mounted on outside on ether side. As Wallace says just open the harness and put the wires where you want them.

There is actually a great spot under the radiator behind the grill shell. They will be nice and tucked away with great cover and you can aim them slightly down so that water will not get in them (in case you get caught in the rain). Also, it didn't take much effort to get it done.
I was actually going to take a picture today when I was at the shop but didn't.

There are a couple holes in the frame brace just aft of the front shocks; using a fender washer on both sides of the holes, I used ¼ bolts to mount a 2 piece "train horn" - everything is higher than than the grille clearance wise
