Developing a new Mk4 All Aluminum Hood Hinge Kit to be available soon

I'm working on developing an all aluminum hood hinge kit for the Mk4 and I'm hoping that someone that has the FFR hinge kit mounted and operating on their Mk4 can help with with a measurement. From what I gather, it looks like the gas struts that come with the FFR kit are 19.75" from the center of the mounting ball to center of mounting ball with the strut fully extended? I'm wondering if someone can confirm this and also give me a measurement of what the length is when the hood is closed?.....all I would need is an accurate measurement from the strut body to the "dust mark" on the shaft that shows how far the shaft gets pushed into the strut body with the hood closed and I can do the math from there. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
