I just saw that episode. The team did a good job and it’s great Pete Brock likes the changes. It was a surprise to see the couple because I know them. Doug is out of Irvine and helps out at Hillbanks Superformance.

I just watched it, was curious what others thought too. I did not like what they did to the rear end (lights, bumper). Rest of the car was nice (except the flowers...).

It was OK. Unlike a lot of their episodes, other than a different engine (even though the existing one appeared to be running), it was mostly cosmetic. Wasn't a big fan of the different nose opening and running light removal. Or the flowers. But the rest was OK. Did like how the bumpers were integrated into the body. Certainly gives a clear picture of just how different the Factory Five version of the Coupe is compared to the Superformance version. Was cool they had Peter Brock there. Always a class act.

I like the paint color and that's about it.

I wonder if the spinners really lined up that well, or if they were loosened for the photoshoot.

The tail lights really work for me and some of the other liberties do too, but I still like the original styling better.
Had the coupe started life as a street car, this may have been the path it would have taken.
I'm sure it will grow on me, except maybe the flowered hood thingie.

Sorry Mr. Foose!

I dunno - if it's not going to be a true-to-the-original Daytona, I've always been partial to the AC Cars take on the coupe.... their A98.

I never heard of superformance.org but there are more photos here.

To me it looks like someone built a Daytona in a country that has strict MOT and you need bumpers, windshield squirters, who knows what.

I've liked just about every car Chip has done but not this one.

He always puts big ugly chrome wheels on all his cars. It looks tacky, especially on a classic design.

I have to agree with Trevor.

If you have ornate wheels you skip the spinners and vice versa.

A friend of mine has a 2-door Blazer, lowered but not slammed, mild custom but CLEAN - he has Foose wheels front and rear, different sizes. It works on his car but the ones on this Daytona are over-done.

I was surprised to learn this was a 15-year-old car when the project began.

Those wheels are terrible IMHO. Sorry but I like my wheels with less bling.

Ya got to remember who the client was, She wanted it her way , a sophisticated street car that a woman would drive.

I often look at his designs and feel like a little less wheel diameter with a little less bling would make his cars look better.

I just wish I had 10% of his skills and ability.
