Was wondering if anyone would be nice enough to see bolt that screws in monza cap, mine came without bolt so spring and cover does not hold, anybody can easily remove bolt to see length and if anything else is missing please ? I am talking about the single bolt interior of cap that holds spring and plate. Thanks in advance

It’s a M6x1.0 button head machine screw and it’s 1.1 inches or 28mm total length on mine.

I recommend a drop of blue thread locker on that thing as others have had it come apart on them.

x2 on a drop of blue threadlock. Mine shot pieces across the gas station when I popped it open... with people looking.

After reading this thread, I checked mine. It was more than half way out of the threads. I first just tightened it down all the way, but the cover no longer sprung up on release. Realizing I would need to back the screw out some to get the spring effect, I added blue loctite and adjusted where I wanted. Thanks for the timely advise on this issue.

Yep, happened to me today. First time at the gas pump. Opened up cap, and the spring and screw were sitting in there. Finger tight until I got home, blue locktite.

All is good in the world.
